Resume
I chose to include my resume as evidence of the strengths that I bring to teaching. I completed a year-long student teaching program as opposed to the traditional student teaching program, I taught summer school at an extremely low-income school in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago, and I was a permanent substitute teacher at an alternative school. These different teaching roles have provided me with extensive knowledge of how to differentiate instruction for different learners, and also how students' backgrounds can impact the way that they learn. I volunteered as a tutor at several community centers which expanded my skills as a teacher in a different way. These settings taught me how to effectively build relationships with students which is one of my biggest strengths as an educator.
